How ASPiRES started with an idea to becoming a thriving day service
Jackie found a barn in Fincham and converted it into a workshop with a kitchen, office and media room. Big enough for her to expand the business to what it is today.
ASPiRES was first set up by Jackie Murphy in 1996. She was approached by a social worker who was keen to see more sheltered work experience in West Norfolk.
After numerous meetings with social services and reams of paperwork she was finally given the go-ahead and sent one young lady for three days a week to see how this progressed.
Supporting the younger generation is very important to ASPiRES. We've helped health and social care students gain work experience and students looking for apprenticeships.
We have been so lucky to have had our last two apprentices win the Collage Of West Anglia Apprentice of the year award.
