How volunteering can help you

There are many benefits to volunteering. The right placement can help you find friends, reach out to the community, learn new skills and even advance your career or CV.

Volunteering offers the chance to make a difference to people and an opportunity to develop new skills or even build on existing experience and knowledge.

Volunteering increases your self-confidence. You are helping others and the community, which provides a sense of accomplishment. Your role as a volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity.

- Taking part in afternoon games

- Educational activities

- Day trips out with service users

- Help organize fundraisers

- One on one assistance with service users

We don't expect our volunteers to cover all the tasks above but, just what you are comfortable with.
